This interactive 3D application simulates common digital payment flows in India.
To demystify what happens 'behind the scenes' when you make a payment. We visualize the journey of your transaction from your device to the recipient.
This is a simplified educational model. Real-world systems are far more complex, but this simulation covers the core concepts and key players involved in every digital transaction you make.
The simulation begins with a 3D model of a smartphone. Click on one of the app icons (PhonePe, GPay, Paytm, or Cards) to initiate a payment flow.
A realistic phone interface will appear. Simply follow the on-screen instructions as you would in a real app.
After completing the steps on the phone, the view will change to show a 3D animation of your payment traveling through various systems like servers, banks, and payment networks.
Enter your name for the virtual card, then choose a simulation.
When booking tickets online, you'll often see an extra charge called a "Convenience Fee".
This is a service charge added by the platform (e.g., BookMyShow, MakeMyTrip) to cover the costs of providing a secure online payment service. It's usually non-refundable even if you cancel your ticket.
Your credit card statement will show the total amount charged by the merchant (e.g., "INDIGO AIRLINES ₹5,620.00").
Unlike some other transactions, direct ecommerce purchases with a credit card typically don't have an upfront fee. Instead, the cost comes from interest if you don't pay your bill on time.
After your purchase, you get a "grace period" (usually 45-50 days) to pay your bill. If you pay the full amount before the due date, you pay zero interest. ✅
If you only pay the "minimum amount due" or less than the full amount, high interest (e.g., 36%-48% per year) starts applying to the remaining balance. ⚠️
Processing Fee: When transferring money directly to a bank account using a credit card, banks charge a fee of 2-5% on the amount.
Credit Limit: For this simulation, you have a credit limit of ₹80,000.
